XRDAO is short for Extended Reality Decentralized Autonomous Organization. If the name is not self-explanatory enough, allow me to go into detail. DAOs are not a new topic, if you are unfamiliar with the concept I recommend some research into the topic. XRDAO will be owned and governed by its users. XRDAO will have no targeted ads or centralized ad service. But, that is not to say that individuals or businesses could not create their own unique marketing campaigns. We will be creating a token
XRDAO is being created to create a metaverse based in reality to compete with Big Tech companies and current monopolies. For far too long Big Tech has been not only keeping massive archives of user data but will even go as far as to sell that data to 3rd parties. Most of this tracking data is for advertising purposes so they can make a profit off of their users. XRDAO aims to be an alternative to the malicious metaverses Big Tech companies are creating. In addition to competing with Big Tech, we are also looking to help small and local businesses.
What can be done in XRDAO? Initially, we will be creating a decentralized web application. The DAPP includes a dex, an NFT marketplace, and a Map where users can stake their NFTs to earn XDT. Later we will create a creator software to allow anyone to create interactable smart contract objects. This will allow other businesses to be operated through Augmented reality. It will also create unique opportunities such as location-based NFT drops, which can be very beneficial for small and local businesses.
What is to come? Our Short to medium goals include: Creating NFT usernames, messaging, and our decentralized web application. Our long-term goals include; creating a platform prepared for the future of human & technology symbiosis, adding many different forms of entertainment, and creating both software & hardware to help pursue new goals. More goals both short & long shall be determined by the DAO as time goes on.
